If you are relatively new to HTML programming, you may have some problems with those dratted "root-relative" links to other pages or image and multimedia files. (If you are an old, old, really old, old-timer like me, of course, you have absolutely no problems with such mundane things - like my pages are absolutely flawless every time I put 'em together. <g>) This little gem may make life a bit easier. It will work right now, on-line, or, if you download the script engine below, it will work just as well for you off-line. New HTML programmers may wonder about the lack of quotes around file names in the output code. Ya don't need 'em (unless there is a space within the specific item) Modern browsers will parse the HTML without them and you can save literally hundreds of bytes of download with each page delivery (Makes it quicker) But, if ya really want 'em, click the radio button below before your primary file selection. Important: You must first browse to the page you are now working on, your "primary file", (typically "index.html") in the directory (folder) where it now resides. This script engine will then permit you to add links to images, sound files or other HTML pages where ever they live on your computer. | ||
