As rabid bandwidth conservationists, those nasty META tags have always bugged us. But they are straight text, which is compressed quite well for transmission. And your clients absolutely need to have the dagburned things. ("Dagburned" is a euphemism uttered regularly by a character named Gabby Hayes. Don't worry if you haven't heard of him. He was way before your time) To get back to the topic. Most of the search engines use META tags in one way or another to generate their delivered listings. Especially the KEYWORDS and DESCRIPTION tags. You are cheating your client if you don't devote some attention to these tags. Of course, they are an absolute pain to generate. Hence this little script engine. It grabs the stuff between the BODY tags and creates a neetso-keeno alphabetical listing of the keywords on your HTML page. (Goes a bit quicker if you just paste the stuff beginning with the <BODY tag through the end of the page) Secondly, it makes a valiant attempt to generate the DESCRIPTION tag for you as well. It also adds the prevention of Microsoft® scarfing and today's date. Yeppers, you may have to edit both it and the KEYWORDS tags, but it is all done in mere seconds. You may find this to be your favorite out of all our script engines, simply for the work it saves. Other HTML Post-processing scripts:
